These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of GovCareer.ca and to any services, sessions, digital products, resources, or communications provided by GovCareer.ca.

By using this website, booking a session, purchasing a service, downloading a resource, or communicating with GovCareer.ca, you agree to these Terms.

1. About GovCareer.ca

GovCareer.ca provides independent, fee-based career advisory services related to Canadian government, public-sector, and structured hiring processes.

Services may include strategy sessions, resume and application guidance, interview preparation, job-search direction, digital resources, and related career-support services.

GovCareer.ca operates from Ontario, Canada.

2. Independent Advisory Service

GovCareer.ca is an independent advisory service.

GovCareer.ca is not a government agency, hiring authority, recruitment agency, staffing agency, employer, immigration consultant, legal advisor, or human resources representative for any employer.

GovCareer.ca does not represent any government organization, public-sector employer, private employer, hiring manager, recruiter, or HR department.

3. No Guarantee of Outcome

GovCareer.ca does not guarantee interviews, shortlisting, pool placement, job offers, promotions, hiring results, immigration outcomes, or employment outcomes of any kind.

Hiring decisions are made only by the relevant employer or hiring authority.

Your results may depend on many factors outside the control of GovCareer.ca, including your qualifications, work authorization, experience, application accuracy, competition level, labour-market conditions, role availability, screening criteria, interview performance, timing, and employer decisions.

4. Services Provided

GovCareer.ca may provide services including, but not limited to:

Strategy Sessions.

Resume and application guidance.

Resume tailoring support.

Interview preparation.

Public-sector job-search direction.

Guidance on structured hiring processes.

Digital guides, templates, resources, or educational materials.

The exact scope of each service is described on the relevant service page, booking page, invoice, email confirmation, or written service communication.

5. Strategy Sessions

A Strategy Session is a paid advisory session designed to help you understand your current situation, possible role direction, application issues, and next practical steps.

A Strategy Session may include discussion of your background, resume, target roles, public-sector hiring processes, experience alignment, role targeting, screening criteria, possible gaps, and next steps.

Unless specifically stated in writing, a Strategy Session does not include:

Full resume rewrite.

Cover letter writing.

Job-by-job resume tailoring.

Mock interview or full interview coaching.

Direct application submission.

Direct access to employers, hiring managers, recruiters, or government representatives.

Guarantees of interview, shortlisting, pool placement, job offer, or hiring outcome.

6. Client Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and truthful information.

You are responsible for ensuring that all documents, resumes, job postings, credentials, work history, and other materials you provide are accurate and belong to you.

You are responsible for reviewing, approving, submitting, and maintaining your own applications, resumes, cover letters, job profiles, employer accounts, and related documents.

You are responsible for confirming your own eligibility, work authorization, job requirements, application deadlines, and employer instructions.

You are responsible for your own decisions, applications, interview performance, and follow-through.

7. Work Authorization, Immigration, Legal, and Employment Advice

GovCareer.ca may discuss general hiring-process considerations, including how job postings may refer to eligibility, work authorization, or other requirements.

GovCareer.ca does not provide immigration advice, legal advice, employment-law advice, financial advice, or professional regulatory advice.

You are responsible for obtaining appropriate professional advice from a licensed immigration consultant, lawyer, accountant, regulated professional body, or other qualified advisor where needed.

8. Payments

Payment is required before a session, service, digital product, or resource is delivered, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers such as Stripe.

Prices are listed in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated.

GovCareer.ca may change pricing at any time. Price changes do not affect services already purchased unless otherwise agreed.

9. Booking, Rescheduling, and Cancellations

Booking, rescheduling, cancellation, missed-session, and refund rules are governed by the Refund and Cancellation Policy published on GovCareer.ca.

By booking or purchasing a service, you agree to the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

10. Digital Products and Resources

Digital products, guides, templates, documents, recordings, PDFs, downloads, and other resources are provided for personal use only.

You may not copy, resell, redistribute, share, publish, upload, modify for resale, or commercially exploit GovCareer.ca materials without written permission.

Digital products and resources are educational and advisory in nature. They do not guarantee any specific hiring or employment outcome.

11. Intellectual Property

All website content, service materials, guides, templates, frameworks, documents, resources, written materials, and other content created by GovCareer.ca remain the intellectual property of GovCareer.ca unless otherwise stated.

Purchasing a service or resource gives you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the material for your own career-development and job-search purposes.

12. Privacy

GovCareer.ca collects and uses personal information according to the Privacy Policy published on GovCareer.ca.

By using the website, submitting information, booking a session, or purchasing a service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Third-Party Platforms

GovCareer.ca is not responsible for service interruptions, technical issues, privacy practices, or terms of third-party platforms.

14. Limitation of Liability

GovCareer.ca provides services on a best-effort advisory basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GovCareer.ca is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost income, lost opportunities, lost employment prospects, missed deadlines, unsuccessful applications, failed interviews, or employment decisions.

Where liability cannot be excluded, total liability is limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

15. No Misrepresentation

Clients must not use GovCareer.ca services or materials to misrepresent their experience, qualifications, credentials, employment history, education, work authorization, or other application information.

GovCareer.ca does not support false, misleading, exaggerated, or dishonest applications.

16. Refusal or Termination of Service

GovCareer.ca may refuse, pause, or terminate service where a client provides false information, behaves abusively, requests unethical support, fails to provide required materials, misses appointments, violates these Terms, or otherwise makes service delivery impractical or inappropriate.

17. Changes to These Terms

GovCareer.ca may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

Continued use of the website or services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.

Any disputes relating to these Terms, the website, or GovCareer.ca services will be handled under the laws and jurisdiction of Ontario, Canada.
